1. Service Overview The Live Chat feature is a real-time communication channel designed to enhance user engagement during selected live sports events on the Bet9ja platform . By accessing or using the Live Chat, you agree to these terms.

2. Eligibility and Access

  • Availability: Live Chat is available only on selected matches . The chat opens approximately one minute before kickoff and closes shortly after full-time . Once closed, the chat section will no longer be visible.
  • User Access:
    • Read-Only: Anonymous (non-logged-in) users may view the chat but cannot send messages .
    • Participation: Only logged-in users are permitted to post messages.
  • User Identity: To protect privacy, your identity will be displayed using a masked format (e.g., ma***12).

3. User Conduct and Content Guidelines All messages are subject to automated moderation rules . Users must strictly adhere to the following content restrictions. Messages containing the following will be blocked or masked:

  • Profanity and Hate Speech: Use of offensive language is strictly prohibited .

  • Sanctions and Banning: Violations of these terms result in incremental automatic bans :
    • First Violation (3 attempts): 1-minute ban.
    • Second Violation: 10-minute ban.
    • Third Violation: 1-hour ban.
  • Effect of Ban: While a ban is valid, the user cannot interact with any chats on the platform.

5. Administration and Data Retention

  • Platform Rights: Bet9ja reserves the right to disable or restart the chat at any time for technical or administrative reasons.
  • Data Retention: Chat transcripts are retained by the platform for compliance and audit purposes.
