Royal Hi-Lo

The Game

Cards HiLo allows you to bet on the numeric value of the next card to be drawn. One deck of cards is used. There are three betting options, HI or LO, suit selection, and colour selection;  bet either that the next card drawn will be of a higher or lower numeric value than the card displayed, or bet that the next card drawn will be of a particular suit or colour. Aces are a high card in this game.

Starting the Game

Once the game has loaded, the player will be presented with the game screen. In order to start the game, simply select stake and press New Game. This will engage the game.

How to play

Once the game has engaged after selecting stake and pressing New Game, a card will be drawn onto the playing area. Depending on the numeric value of the card drawn, you can bet that either the next card drawn will be of a higher or lower numeric value to the current card by pressing Hi or Lo.If you predict correctly, you will have funds added to the in-game pot (not overall balance). Amount of funds won will be dictated by the odds that the next card will either be higher or lower in value than the current card. The Suit selection area displays 4 card suit buttons. By clicking on one of these buttons, you are betting that the next card drawn will be of the selected suit. The Colour selection area displays 2 buttons; 1 red, 1 black. By clicking on one of these buttons, you are betting that the suit of the next card drawn will be of the selected colour.

During a game, the central card play area displays the last card drawn. The pack display area (left of the card play area) shows the card deck and card history. You can use the left and right arrow buttons displayed to view the card history.

Card Values

One single deck of 52 cards is used. Card number values for number cards are respective of themselves (I.e, 2 of spades = 2, 4 of hearts = 4, etc.), and picture cards (J, Q, K, A) are valued 11, 12, 13, 14 respectively.

If you win, you must collect funds from the in-game pot to successfully add them onto your account balance. For example, if you win 3 bets in a row without collecting your winnings and the 4th turn is lost, all accumulated winnings from the previous 3 bets will be lost. If your pot rises to 350 for example, this will become your new stake. Each time winnings are added to your pot, this acts as new stake, this increasing your potential winnings per turn.

Card suits are the same as a normal set of cards – spades, hearts, diamonds, and clubs.

Win or Lose

The turn is won or lost depending on if the player guesses either Hi or Lo correctly, or which suit the next card is from. If the player wins 3 bets in a row without collecting their winnings and the 4th turn is lost, the accumulated winnings for the previous 3 bets will be lost. Players can only have currency added to their balance if collect is clicked.
